Analysis #2

For this analysis assignment, your objective is to connect the abstract concepts we covered in class with the concrete example provided in the Pew case study #281 One Rock, Two Principles: The Gibraltar Problem.  You are limited to 3 pages typed, following the Standard Format for Written Work detailed in your course syllabus.

For this paper, choose two of the following concepts as your focus: two-level games, why international law is primitive, adversarial diplomacy, realism, or liberalism.  If you choose the theories, make sure you address the main tenets of those theories.

The body of your paper should follow this format:

Paragraph 1:  A brief summary (2-3 sentences) of the case followed by an introduction of the two concepts you are covering

Paragraphs 2, 3: Each paragraph should include a brief explanation of the concept, followed by an analysis of how the case relates to that concept

Paragraph 5:  A brief conclusion of how the real-world situation described in the case helps you to better understand the abstract concept of the theory or the state; also consider how the concept helps you to better understand the situation described in the case
